A competitor her whole life, Shea grew up a nationally ranked competitive water skier. The only daughter to Jeff and Erin, the Holbrook’s lived, played and trained together. Her father, a US Navy veteran instilled focus, work-ethic and resilience in Shea. Her largest supporter, mom, taught Shea to dream it, believe it and achieve it. At a young determined age, Shea saw much success on the water and had the opportunity to enjoy learning how to fly her dad’s plane. An adrenaline seeker, Shea wasn’t quite satisfied until she was introduced in motor racing.
At the age of sixteen she rode shotgun in a Richard Petty Experience at Daytona International Speedway. From that day forward she knew she wanted to pursue a career in motorsports. With zero prior industry knowledge nor the mechanics or engineering of the sport Shea’s learning curve was steep.
It was then she decided to live by her own quote, “Fear is a state of mind, Will is an action taken.” Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
A sport that takes strength, adrenaline, speed and risk-taking also demands respect, knowledge and understanding. After 10 years of impressive on track racing accomplishments, Shea Holbrook has become a nationally recognized racecar driver. Her diverse racing experience ranges from SCCA Club Racing, NASCAR Late Models, INDY CAR’s Developmental Ladder Series Skip Barber Racing, to professional Sports Car racing in the Pirelli World Challenge and most recently, the IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series and W Series.
